Mental Health Matters
St. Patrick's Hospital Group is an independent, not-for-profit, service
provider which aspires to provide the highest quality of mental health
care, to promote mental health and to advocate for the rights of those
who experience mental illness.
St. Patrick's seeks to develop, promote, and provide within Ireland,
assessment, treatment and aftercare services for people experiencing
mental illness.
The organisation is presently engaged in developing a wide range of new
mental health treatments and services and in enhancing the existing range
of specialised programmes. New services will include Specialised Multi-disciplinary
Assessment, Community Mental Health Support Centres, Addiction Services,
Web Based Services and Services for Adolescents.
St. Patrick's is committed to being an independent advocate and voice for
those experiencing mental illness, harnessing voluntary effort and public
support to represent their best interests. The hospital promotes Service
User participation at all levels and strives to ensure that those who suffer
from mental illness and their families are included, as active participants,
in all structures that impact on their lives.
St. Patrick's Hospital is a University teaching hospital for Trinity
College Dublin and is actively engaged in research into the causes, treatment
and
